Cricket Australia ambassador Lee Furlong at Centennial Park. GLAMOUR girl Lee Furlong is the sexy new weapon in Australian cricket's bid to attract more women to the sport. The better half of Aussie opener Shane Watson has signed on as a Cricket Australia ambassador in a move that CA hopes will get women talking about cricket. It was only a few weeks ago that cricket was given a stark warning that it had lost touch with kids and women and needed a jolt to ensure it did not lose further ground. Furlong, a regular WAG on the Australian cricket scene, has developed a love of cricket through her romance with Watson and also her job as a Fox Sports newsreader.
