England’s Soccer WAGs set up camp in South Africa  England’s Soccer WAGs set up camp in South Africa
England’s Soccer WAGs set up camp in South Africa American coaches see the British WAG invasion as a bonus. While the British are trying to keep their wives and girlfriends from making a scene, the Americans can focus on other things, like maybe the World Cup. The British soccer WAGs are expected to continue their antics in Johannesburg. ’WAGs’ (wives and girlfriends) are the British soccer wives known for their spotlight-stealing antics and scene-stealing spats. While soccer fans watch the game, the WAGs will drink, spend, and party enough to make front pages world-wide. Yahoo Sports reports, “In 2006, the WAGs donned their high heels and designer outfits and swept into Baden Baden, a picturesque little German town that had never seen anything like it. Within a couple of days, the news of their attempts to turn shopping and champagne drinking into Olympic sports filtered back to England. At one boutique, a posse of WAGs spent more than $80,000 – in less than an hour.
