USA Soccer Has No Chance Against England  USA Soccer Has No Chance Against England
USA Soccer Has No Chance Against England Sign up for AskMen's World Cup newsletter. With a runner-up finish in the 2009 Confederations Cup still fresh in the minds of U.S. soccer fans, expectations for World Cup success have never been higher. And if the U.S. can topple then-No. 1 Spain 2-0, then push current No. 1 Brazil to the brink, they can certainly beat a consistently underachieving and overrated England squad, right? Wrong. Before you say the claims are un-American, check out these five reasons USA Soccer has no chance on Saturday. 1- Suspect U.S. defense The U.S. defense played exceedingly well when it shut out Spain a year ago, but the circumstances are very different for this match. Perhaps most importantly, central defender Oguchi Onyewu is no longer in top form due to a recent knee surgery, as he hasnít played a full 90 minutes since October. Thatís not good for a squad with extremely limited defensive depth. Other than a hobbled Onyewu, the U.S. defense relies on captain and defenseman Carlos Bocanegra. Although he is one of the most experienced players on the team, itís hard to be too confident in Bocanegraís ability to stop Wayne Rooney, Englandís superstar striker. Left to pick up the pieces is goalkeeper Tim Howard. Thereís no questioning that Howard is a world-class keeper, but the firepower of England is too great to post a shutout. 2- The talent imbalance Who on the 23-man Three Lions roster, minus the goalkeepers, could make the USA Soccer team? Everybody. Now who on the U.S. would earn a spot on England? Outside of Landon Donovan, Clint Dempsey, Howard, and Onyewu, you canít really make an argument for anybody. And of those four, only Howard would get the nod to start. Rattle off names on Englandís team and you get the feeling itís an English Premier League All-Star team. Do the same for the USA Soccer and you realize itís comprised mostly of EPL bench warmers or Major League Soccer ďstuds.Ē The fact of the matter is that Rooney, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, and friends are immensely more talented than anyone on the USA Soccer team. Hell, even the backups on England are better than most of the U.S. starters. 3- Unproven U.S. strikers Looking at the forwards on the U.S. roster, you canít help but fear disaster. A combined 38 caps (international appearances) and 13 goals between the four of them, saying the U.S. is without a proven striker is a major understatement. And these guys are supposed to get past the likes of John Terry and Ashley Cole? You have to be kidding. While Jozy Altidore, Edson Buddle, Herculez Gomez, and Robbie Findley all played reasonably well during the past few friendlies, none of these players are as experienced or skilled as the English back line. 4- Wayne Rooney Playing in arguably the strongest league in the world, Rooney managed to score 32 goals in 26 appearances for Manchester United this past season in the EPL. If he can put up those numbers against the top clubs on Earth, just imagine what he can do against a slow and suspect American defense. Onyewu was able to stifle Spainís Fernando Torres when they matched up in the Confederations Cup, but his knee injury puts into serious question whether he can contain someone of Rooneyís skill. Our guess is no. 5- Coaching Donít get me wrong, USA Soccerís Head Coach Bob Bradley has done a terrific job turning around the team after a woeful showing at the 2006 World Cup. But he is not in the same class as England manager Fabio Capello, the Italian coaching whiz. While Bradley was off winning a couple Ivy League titles with Princeton, Capello was busy capturing four Serie A titles in his first five seasons with Inter Milan. Oh yeah, he also won the Champions League with Milan in the 1993-94 campaign. While club success doesnít necessarily translate to international results, Capello obviously knows how to win on some of the gameís biggest stages.

Super Bowl XLIV: Kim Kardashian v/s Kendra Wilkinson?  Super Bowl XLIV: Kim Kardashian v/s Kendra Wilkinson?
Super Bowl XLIV: Kim Kardashian v/s Kendra Wilkinson? You can't even watch a Super Bowl anymore without it having some buxom bimbettes attached to it. Saints star Reggie Bush has been notably tapping the famous assets of Keeping Up star Kim Kardashian (in pic) on and off for years now. While former Girls Next Door and current solo show star Kendra Wilkenson moved out of Hugh Hefner and into holy matrimony with Indianapolis Colts player Hank Baskett earlier this year. Despite an off-year for Bush personally, he was a major factor in the Saints win against the Cardinals in the play-offs and caught a TD pass against the Vikings. Meanwhile, no one probably would be paying much attention to Baskett during the big game if it wasn't for his tabloid-bait wife. In his first year with the Colts, the wide receiver has caught only four passes for 34 yards. He hasn't even been in play during the post-season! The best of all: Kim Kardashian not knowing that Kendra Wilkinson's husband is a Colt and then posing a question "What position does he play?"

I wonít give up on Blues future  I wonít give up on Blues future
I wonít give up on Blues future He says he wants to stay but the club have withdrawn their offer of a new deal and put Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham on full alert. Midfielder Cole, 28, will be available on a free transfer in the summer but he refuses to give up on his Chelsea career. He said: "I've never spoken publicly about contracts before. "I don't think contracts should really be discussed mid-season. I have always signed mine in the summer in the past. "But this time it's different. We can't seem to find common ground and it's distracting. At the moment there is no offer on the table, so I know where I stand. I still hope to talk in the summer." Cole's current deal expires on June 30 when he will be free to quit the Blues after seven years at Stamford Bridge. No new talks are planned between the parties at present even though Cole is keen to stay. Chelsea have been tightening the purse strings at the club for some time and Cole has been on the fringes of the team recently. The bombshell development is at odds with boss Carlo Ancelotti, who said recently: "He will stay - of that I am 100 per cent certain."
