Manchester City owners to buy IPL Team? Manchester City are considering a dramatic move into cricket by buying an Indian Premier League team. The club's mega-rich owners Sheikh Mansour (in pic) has an estimated family fortune of £500 billion believe their Abu Dhabi base is perfect for a new team as the IPL continues its global expansion. From 2011, the IPL will have 10 teams rather than the current eight - and the new teams could be announced as early as next month. Abu Dhabi's ground has staged one-day internationals with Pakistan, West Indies and New Zealand.
